Mr. Bill and Friends are
returning to Yogi Bear's Jellystone
Park TM by popular demand!
We were such a good audience last
year, he has decided to visit us more
often.
Let me tell you about Mr. Bill: He is a
really nice guy who loves kids. And
guess what -- kids love him!
Mr. Bill and Friends are part of our
MMK program. What's that? Magic
Moments for Kids. Kids are major
ingredient in Mr. Bill's show. No, wait --
the kids are the show. Mr. Bill is just
the backdrop. He invites the kids to
help with the Magic tricks. Sometimes
Mr. Bill has a little "trouble" with the
tricks, but the kids always save the day.
Memorial Day Weekend:
May 28 & 29: Mr. Bill will introduce us
to the Frog Prince, Ollie and many of
his other friends. He will delight us with
card tricks, magic rings and fire tricks...
July 2, 3, 4: Mr. Bill returns with his
magic and friends. He will talk about
American Indians -- lifestyle, legends &
stories. "Walks Softly" will be dressed
in full regalia (festive clothing). The
weekend will include a campfire story
time.
July 8 & 9: "Walks Softly" returns with
more stories and Indian lore.
Who is "Walks Softly?"
Mr. Bill's Indian name is Algimsgwet --
pronounced ALL-GEAM-SKWET. That
translates to Walks Softly.
He is a Metis (mixed blood) from the
Mi-kmak tribe (MICMAK) using the
Algonquian language.
